Damien Stafford
Damien Stafford is a director and cinematographer working at the meeting point of commerce and craft.
Based in New York City and shooting worldwide, Damien builds commercials the way other people build short films — with character, restraint, and a deep respect for the things people make with their hands. His work for Levi’s and Red Wing turns denim and workwear into small, lived-in stories about labor, legacy, and the quiet pride of a job done right.
He came up through cinematography, and it shows: every frame is lit and composed with intent, every cut earns its place. Whether it’s the sixty-second arc of “Retirement” or the tight fifteen of “Powerplant,” the goal is the same — make the audience feel something true before the logo ever lands.
Damien collaborates closely with agencies, brands, and fellow craftspeople from first treatment through final grade, and is represented for commercial and branded work across North America and Europe.
